Material accepted cannot be dried out (needs to be in liquid form).

The SCRTS is also home to a recycling center that processes approximately 200 tons per day of recyclable materials including: Appliances Automotive batteries. Please note that materials covered will be accepted 7 days a week at our recycling drop-off areas. The following rules will apply for the transfer stations accepting paint. The Recycling Center is also the home of our Swap Shop and Bottle Donation Shed, and compost is available for purchase. The facility provides an opportunity for residents to properly manage household hazardous waste, recyclables, organics, and problem materials such as computers, TVs and appliances. NOTE: Starting April 2021, our transfer stations will be part of Washington State’s Paint Stewardship program. Hennepin County offers tours at the Brooklyn Park Transfer Station waste drop-off facility.
